If Reset Fails

  • Start APU for redundant power source
  • The opposite IDG (if available) will power the affected bus via bus tie

3. System Explanation

Generator OFF light illuminates when the generator breaker is open. This can be caused by: (FCOM 6.10.2)

  • GEN CTRL switch selected OFF
  • Electrical fault detected (auto-trip)

GEN CTRL switch OFF β†’ ON resets fault trip circuitry and recloses the generator breaker if the fault has cleared.
