1. QRH Reference & Condition
- QRH Section: 6.5
- EICAS Level: Advisory
- Condition: The generator control breaker is open.
- Objective: To reset the generator or use the APU to supply another source of power.

Attempt only one reset per flight.

If Reset Fails
- Start APU for redundant power source
- The opposite IDG (if available) will power the affected bus via bus tie
3. System Explanation
Generator OFF light illuminates when the generator breaker is open. This can be caused by: (FCOM 6.10.2)
- GEN CTRL switch selected OFF
- Electrical fault detected (auto-trip)
GEN CTRL switch OFF β ON resets fault trip circuitry and recloses the generator breaker if the fault has cleared.
