Condition: A landing at greater than the maximum landing weight is needed.

Step 1: Initial Decision

One engine inop or at reduced thrust	Both engines running normally
GND PROX FLAP OVRD switch … OVRD	→ Go to Step 2
Use flaps 20 / VREF 20 for landing, flaps 5 for go-around
→ Go to Step 6

Step 2

Refer to the Approach or Landing Climb Limited Weight table in Performance Inflight chapter or other approved source.

Step 3: Weight vs Climb Limited Weight

Landing GW > Approach or Landing Climb Limited Weight	Landing GW ≤ Approach or Landing Climb Limited Weight
GND PROX FLAP OVRD switch … OVRD	→ Go to Step 4
Use flaps 20 / VREF 20, flaps 5 for go-around → Step 6

Step 4

Enter the landing gross weight on the APPROACH REF page.

Step 5: Speed Check

VREF 30 + additives ≤ 160 knots	VREF 30 + additives > 160 knots
Use flaps 30 / VREF 30 for landing	Use flaps 25 / VREF 25 for landing
Flaps 20 for go-around	Flaps 20 for go-around (greater margin to flap placard speed)

WARNING

• Overweight landing 시 반드시 landing distance 재확인 — Performance Inflight tables
• 단발 시에는 자동으로 Flaps 20 / VREF 20 사용 (climb capability 확보)
• 160 knots 초과 시 Flaps 25 사용 — flap placard speed 마진 확보
• Cabin crew에게 반드시 고지 (heavy landing 가능성)
